Welcome to Grassroots 2019! We are an independent Jewish collective created by self-inclusion and a welcoming spirit. We are of many denominations and none, and we love working out how to walk the path together.

Each year the 400 of us who create Grassroots Jews gather to be inspired by each other. We invest financially, and with our minds, hands and time, and we're motivated by an annual goal of creating meaningful experiences during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Since we began in 2009, our numbers have quadrupled. New friends are always welcome - all you have to do is register once we open, and we'll be in touch.

We make space for our own diversity: On a morning at GRJ you'll likely find meditation, discussion, multi-gender partnership & egalitarian services, a kitchen crew, interactive games, installation art, discussions, kids' activities, a community-sourced potluck lunch (on RH1 & RH2) and maybe something you have up your sleeve, all nestling happily side by side.

In 2019 the High Holy Days are: Rosh Hashana Monday 30th September and Tuesday 1st October, & Yom Kippur is Wednesday 9th October. When you book to become a GRJ2019 member you'll be able to let us know when you'd like to join us.

TEAM 2019

Claire Farhi and Eliana Abdo are this year's co-ordinators, pulling together an awesome crew to make it happen.

We would be delighted to hear from anyone who fancies getting involved with helping - from running the kitchen, to leyning, to welcoming new members (and everything in between) we need everyone to pitch in. Please email us at grassrootsjews@gmail.com and let us know how you'd like to be involved.
