SCROLL DOWN

Grassroots Jews is a pop up Jewish prayer group that meets for High Holidays in Northwest London. Our services are joyful, spritually uplifting and accessible. We aim to be inclusive of everyone, wherever they are on the rainbow of religious beliefs and practices. Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur are the most important days of the Jewish calendar. We want you to be able to participate in them with your whole heart in our community of brilliant people.

Grassroots Jews aims to be the one place where anyone can come and have a meaningful experience of the Jewish High Holidays. Yes, anyone. That means we try to carve a path where everyone’s practice can be welcome, and we embrace navigating the tradeoffs between traditions that need very different things from their prayer spaces. It’s all in the service of including everyone in the tent. And yes, there is a tent.

We run programming alongside prayer services to give a rich and holistic experience of the holidays. They range from explanatory services, to discussions, yoga, qi gong, and whatever else our community wants to bring. We have an offering for children, and we are welcoming of everyone regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age and disability.

***Please Note - Grassroots Jews will only be for Yom Kippur this year as we return from a short (and hopefully final) hiatus***

  • Kol Nidre: Evening of Sunday 20th September 2026

  • Yom Kippur: Monday 21st September 2026

Tickets are £65 for Yom Kippur and free for under 16s. We have concessionary and superstar options available too.

(If price is a barrier to attending, please contact us about alternatives.)

This year's coordinators are Daniel Susser and Jen McAlister and we would be delighted to hear from anyone who fancies getting involved with helping! Please email us at grassrootsjews@gmail.com and let us know how you'd like to be involved.
